Landon settles in with Everton
With all the paperwork behind him, Landon Donovan can now focus on playing for his new club Everton. Landon will spend the next 10 weeks at Goodison Park while Major League Soccer is in its offseason. Joining his American teammate Tim Howard, Landon is thrilled with the opportunity to play for what is considered the world’s top league.
“I am ready to enjoy it and I want to personally get myself sharp while I am here,” he said.
“Tim Howard has had nothing but great things to say about this team so I am excited.”
Everton manager David Moyes brought Landon to the team in hopes that Donovan can add some spark to an offense that has mustered just 26 goals in 19 matches.
Everton has suffered from injuries to attacking threats Mikel Arteta, Victor Anichebe, and Ayegbeni Yakubu, which may present an opportunity for Landon to make an immediate impact.
While Landon hopes to make an immediate impact and earn regular minutes, he’s excited about the opportunity to train with a world class club and keep his fit during the MLS offseason
“Going into a World Cup year this experience will keep me sharp,” he told evertonTV.

Good Luck LD! Go show ‘em what ya got. Just keep playing like you did in ’09 and they’ll want to send a big transfer Fee over to LA.
